is it ok to charge a Creative Zen V via a laptop?

i have 3 conditions for the laptop.
a.) when the laptop is charging also?
b.) when the adaptor of the laptop is plugged?
c.) when I only use the laptop's battery?

i am pretty confused. i dont want to ruin my ZEN V's battery life. I am really worried on the possible effects it may have on the battery, depending on the conditions.

I have the Vision M and noticed no loss of battery life since using my laptop to charge. My no to the third question is that you won't get a full charge if you only use the laptop battery.
