The way I see it, children are so happy without any material things. Many people in the world are happy without money. But, money can buy things that would make you happy, like tasty food and pretty things. So, I think you can be happy with or without money, provided you had the necessities. On the other hand, money does cause problems such as jealousy and paranoia. And, if you ever were rich and lost all your money, well that would be so bad. But, if you always modest, then you will always have less to lose.

Money is a way of keeping score.
Happiness is a feeling that comes from inside.
Knowing your score is big enough to keep playing the game of life should make you happier. Many other factors such as health, friends, family, and what you do to get your money have a much greater affect on whether or not not you are happy.

Yes and no. I feel that when i have money to spend i am more happy. Although its not just money that makes happiness, your lifestyle, job, children, hobbies, etc all make you happy. At the end of the day i think you dont need money to be happy, although it can be a help.

The more money one has, the sadder one is when he doesn't have it, indicating there is some state of satisfaction while the money is there.

Its better to know how to survive being poor than not knowing how to survive when you are rich and lose it all. A poor sad man, is a rich happy man.

Okay that loses something in the translation, but if you think about it, it rings true.

money makes happiness if in the past you were poor!! you cannot have other things without money. with money you can live where you want,go on holiday anytime, eat the best food, afford to get into any sports events. know the bills are being paid, have the best health care and attract the best partners!! people who usually ask this question are usually sad rich people who have never gone without! try searching the bins for food or being cold in the winter because you can't afford to keep the heating on????????

If I had more money I would still live within the same means, only easier and my husband could work at a more fun job. That is how money would buy happiness. It would just take away a little undue pressure.

Money is just a unit of exchange. We need to interact with the world and society, we are social beings. You can live without money and you can live without happiness. Happiness is a side affect of living up to your potential. Improve your written expression and we will both be happier.
