mid-term elections. Is it really out of the realm of possibility?

I am absolutely expecting something like this around October. I think this is too soon for the mid-term elections, but I'm not entirely sure I completely believe what we're being told about this.
It's so easy to take credit for preventing something that didn't happen. You can't prove a negative, as they say. And now you can't even take a bottle of water on a plane. This search stuff is just for show and puts innocent travelers through incredible inconvenience when we all know the terrorists can get anything onto a plane they want to, if they want to. If you feel safer because of this, you're fooling yourselves.
And, hey, all you neo-cons bashing the liberals: do you just believe everything these people tell you? Don't you like to think for yourselves? Still believe there were WMDs in Iraq, do ya? And why didn't W do anything when he received, in August of 2001 while he was goofing off in Crawford, as usual, a report with good evidence that terrorists would fly planes into buildings in the US?
You're allowing yourselves to be manipulated.
You also need to realize how close Tony Blair and Bush seem to be. I've always wondered what W has on Blair to get him to go along with all of his nonsense. Those buses in England got bombed last year because of Blair's solidarity with Bush.
Remember- NOTHING happened. They just say it was going to happen.

lol
How about the fact that yesterday a report was published saying the a man SHOT DEAD at home by police in a terrorist raid in Walthamstow, East London, was, in fact, just an accident. Just as the guy who was shot seven times in the head on the tube turned out to be entirely innocent of any terrorist connections...
Just a little snippet lost in the news over here in the UK in the aftermath of the action yesterday.

Was it "concocted"? No, of course not, these people have been under surveilance for a year. Was the timing of the operation suspect? Yeah, kinda - Again, they've been under surveilance for a year...and this government's been caught out once before trying to "bury all unpopular news" on a big press day.

(shrugs) Just a thought.

"Just" before mid-term elections? How about months. It will be forgotten by Nov.

Every conspiracy theory can find a connection, despite the lack of any reasonableness.

Yes, it is really out of the realm of possibility.

You can't be serious. You are so misguided. But since that is the way you think - wait until Bush and the RICH republicans roll out OBL in a straight jacket in 2008. That'll be a hoot and I can't wait to see the look on your face and the drivel that you will exude

There is no clear report about the trouble in UK. The reason is connected with terrorism but the evidence are not yet publicly announced making many theories and concoctions.

Yes and no.They've been watching these guys. Probably the timing was just opportunistic. Let's face it. Neither party gets anything done without spewing propaganda. I hope to see a more centrist representation via the upcoming elections. Howard Dean is crapping his pants over Lieberman and the Republicans are rethinking their political strategy. I believe the vast American population share centrist viewpoints and we deserve to be represented accordingly. It's the way thing's are "supposed to be". If the two parties insist on distancing themselves there is no way we as Americans can be represented politically. WE THE PEOPLE not THEM THE GOVERNMENT.

This an absurd question. war was declared against the free world and Bush had nothing to do with it except guide our country in its defense. and Bush is not up for re election. wake up and smell reality.

Neither. This was an example of how GW's policies will work if given a chance. You people are so eager to bash Bush that you totally overlook the fact that his ideas work!

Holy Fvck Feelgood, YOU ARE A LUNATIC. Here we have a plot to blow up 3 planes per hour, for 3 hours, filled with up to 500 people, and you are dwelling on some conspiracy theory? Is that how you put yourself to sleep at night, counting "I hate Bush 1", "I hate Bush 2", "I hate Bush 3", ....
