No one understand this unless they are shy themselves.I had that problem in school,I was painfully shy then.
I didn't grow out of it until I started working at 16,I'm still not as loud and open as a lot of people.
I just have to make an effort to talk more .and i really have to know someone well to open up all the way.

Lol be yourself your extremly hot... Don't let people make you become who you are... If you want to become more confident...Then start seeing yourself becoming that person you want to be.. Don't think because you are shy, that you are less capable.. There will always be people against you no matter how amazing you are.. You are special..
If your afraid of people, do some mental rehearsal... Think back to times you were feeling strong... If you constantly dwell on the negative,,, it will be a self fufilling prophecy,,, Wants you begin to believe in yourself,, everyone else will to.
Good Luck :>)

I have similar problem as you except that I'm not shy but only I do not smile and do not talk much.
Except those who know me as a kind and warm person when approached, else many people perceive that I'm proud and unfriendly .
I've learned to smile more and that really worked wonders.

don't feel bad i used to be like that in high school and people thought the same thing, and it was hard. i just recently started to get over being with drawled and i am 34. so my best thing i can tell you is practice socializing in a mirror or with your mom or some one you feel comfortable around.

the secret to overcoming shyness is to stop focusing about yourself and start focusing on the topic of conversation- the moment you start thinking about your clothes, face, hair, zit, nails, you are going to zone out and get shy again- it you are focused on the topic you are engaged in the conversation

Being shy is not good. You should overcome it.
Ask people to talk about themselves and show interest in them.
Your problems will melt away.
