Everytime I try to start up my laptop, I push the power button, then the power light comes on so it does have power. The lights all flash for an instant(Num Lock, Caps lock, Scroll Lock, etc.) and the speakers click, But the Fan does not come on, nor does the monitor or anything else for that matter. If I leave it on for 20 minutes or so, the fan will kick on but that is all that happens, then after 2 minutes the fan stops and everything is off again except for the light that says the power is on.

The last time I turned it off it was unresponsive and I pulled the plug and the battery. Idon't beleive I have any viruses either.

Check all the components attachet to the motherboard:
- take out and then put back in its place the processor;
- the sam for the RAM memory (every chip);
- same for video card and any other attached to your motherboard;
- same for the disk drives cables (both ends).
If it still doesn't work, try every component in a working computer. If all of them work right (including the processor), change the mainboard.
If one or more of the components don't work right, change them.
Good luck!!!

This could be alot of things, cause your monitor isn't showing anything and your fan is acting up, it might be something got messed up with your boot sequence too..
My best suggestion would be to take it to a repair place and have them troubleshoot it. They have diagnostic packages that will test the motherboard upon start-up and let them know exactly what is happening that is not allowing your computer to turn on. This is the only way to be sure that the correct problem gets fixed.
Best Wishes

Leave the power cord unplugged for 5 minutes. Then hold the power button in for 10 seconds. Try plugging the cord back in and powering it up. Check for ANY video on the display - are there any beep codes?

If you say all that is working, you many want to get the monitor checked out, but if it automaticly powers off It could be a problem with the whole computer.

Your monitor is probably bad. If you just bought the laptop, its more than likely got a warranty on it. Just take it to the manufacturer and they should fix it for free

Your chip fan may be bad, in which case your motherboard is overheating.....or it just may be your monitor that's bad.
