Not very much. I only know that they are a member of the NPT and they have no history of ever being the aggressor in a war.

The Shah of Iran was deposed and replaced by the religious leader the Ayotollah. They fought with their neighbour Iraq for a long while and nobody won. Also have abundant energy in the form of lots of natural gas reserves but still claim they need nuclear power to progress. Overall a wierd country.

It had a fairly democratic government until Einsenhower overthrew the government and put the Shah in power. The US then helped him rule ruthlessly for years until he was overthrown. Then the US encouraged and armed Iraq in its war with Iran, to the point of turning a blind eye to Iraq's use of chemical weapons against the Iranians. Do you think that Iran has good reason not to trust the US?

according to CBS News and Mike Wallace their president is really a nice guy and treats Jews well. The Iranian President is intelligent and has never made statements calling for the destruction of Israel, the west just misunderstood his words.
Mike Wallace said it, it must be true.

poor country trying to stand against united states of america. and they not letting them stand,
but that does not take them away courage to atleast raise the voice.
though its not a good idea to have nuke weapon, i dont like that idea but then again how does that qualify to usa have the nuke but at end they should take this idea of distruction outta their head .
