Why do so many british muslim get so upset about UK policies in the middle east?

We hear on the news about the disaffected muslim youth, alienated by the government policy - hang on, most of these kids were born here and probably have never been to the countries concerned - so it's just because these countries are muslim?

Whats more important? Loyality to the country you CHOOSE to live in, or loyality to a brother in religion. If it's the former don't expect your fellow Britains to understand or sympathise - it's clear from the emerging 5th column in our mist that we'd do so at our peril.

They need to put up or shut up. Britain has for too long pandered to these people and given them too much. They need to decide once and for all if they want to live in Britain or sod off to some nasty Middle East country and live in a little stone shack. Once they are there they might realize that their 'homeland' is not all they thought it is.

Its a religious thing. The Muslim faith is stronger than the love for their country. Many older Muslims are happy to live in a free easy going place. However some young people think they must become martyrs to a cause because they have no job or a poor income. Many would have less living in Pakistan or similar Muslim countries. They feel we have no right to attack their brothers in Lebanon or Iraq and se this hatred for our policies as part of the Muslim brotherhood. What they do not seem to realise is everyone else is sick of it.

I am not a Muslim an I am appauled with the state of British Foreign policy, and can fully understand why muslims would feel especially agrieved considering its muslim countries who take the brunt of it. Why wont tony grow a pair an stop supporting Israel? he needs to stop the US using Britain as fuel point for US delivery of munitions to Israel. Its a matter of principal, either way the conflict has no direct bearing of British interests its not our war and therefore we should not be contributing to it in anyway. Its a futile war that is simply providing Hizbollah and the conflict with a new generation of recruits, on both sides. STOP the madness now!

As far as I know, they consider themselves one Muslim nation. This means that borders and ethnicity do not matter - all Muslims are part of one united Muslim community. This is what I've heard and I think this view offers an explanation.
Also, Islam offers a very strict code of behaviour - to be "righteous" you have to follow so many rules. The dress code for women is only one small example. Imagine the rules in a society where fashion changes only insignificantly over the centuries.

It's not as simple as that. Most Muslims believe in a worldwide religious brotherhood, the Ummah. It doesn't mean you support other Muslims whatever they do, it just means that certain bonds transcend nationalism (not a bad idea, in lots of ways).

British-born Muslims haven't chosen to live in Britain, they were, um, BORN there. So you can't slate them for knowing nothing about their parents' or grandparents countries of origin AND say they chose to live here. At least get your prejudices straight.

And remember, lots of people who aren't Muslim are upset about British foreign policy too.

Well, it's all about human being. It makes people sad to see some people are killing many innocent people per day, so why should we just sit and watch them dying... It is not about religion, it's about being human. Does it really matter if we are muslims, Christians, Jews, atheist etc etc? we all are human.

I think the loyality to the country you choose to live is more important but it doesn't mean we should close our eyes to what our goverments are doing to other nations...

Maybe it's because they take an interest in foreign affairs and actually care about what happens to other people in the world, as opposed to just caring about who's in or out of Big Brother as most young people in this country seem to.

British foreign places coverage isn't fuelling extremism. that's lack of know-how and the shortcoming of coaching interior the midsection east. Hell, look on the conflict in Iraq. You had human beings somewhat thinking that the U. S. needed to invade and take over Iraq. like the U. S. could desire to return in and take their dirt brick shantees. we'd desire to modernise the midsection east so as that coaching will replace into the main stress, not religous fervor. no remember what stance Britian takes, that they had nonetheless be a purpose. Now, you need to argue that france or germany hasn't been hit, yet that's by using fact there are bigger objectives. regardless of if, enable me assure you that if unquestionably everyone had the stance of germany and france, somebody could nonetheless be a purpose. it rather is not hardship-free to argue with somebody that needs you destroyed by using fact you enable women to vote, stress and placed on denims.

Why any governement policy upsets any body in this world. Why there is always a pro-government party and one Against the government........... why not kick everybody's butt who is against governments. So that means you will have to throw out congress people from America first.............. you guz yourself know nothing. Be educated.
