You might be getting too much sleep. Try cutting back on the hours you sleep and see if that helps. Or, just stay up at four for a few mornings and see how you feel throughout the day, maybe that's your natural wake up time.

You could set the alarm about an hour later, just incase one day you over-sleep and dont wake up at 4.

It's one of life's mystery. Get up when you wake-up the first time, and within a week you will be going to bed at a different hour as well. Your body has a way of telling you how much sleep you need.

What time does the alarm clock beep? You may be in deep REM sleep then, which is why you want to go back to sleep.

Shut off the alarm and just get up at four since you are ready to rock.

LoL. I hear ya. Im the same way. If my alarm isn't set & I don't have to go to work, I am up & at 'em at 6am. If I have to go to work I drag around the house & can barely keep my eyes open.

because the alarm awakes you by force to do work you have to do!
all humans hate to be forced so they always want to escape from alarms!
