Should BP now stand for bad policy or before prison or really go beyond petroleum to water as a fuel?

In a time of war like this, where fuel is of strategic importance to US, can BP be allowed to just raise prices because they did the wrong thing or should someone go to jail?

I don't think so, just because the war and Mideast Crisis caused the gas prices to spike up. I don't think BP should be allowed to have someone go to jail, but to allow prices to be raised, even if it's wrong or right.
