If the question is:
if i have a battery charged hairdryer, put it on and throw it in the sea what happens?
It sinks, your hairdryer won't work any more. The electrical current won't hurt you (like in a bathtub), because the ocean is huge. A lot of underwater creatures use electrical currents, they can shock you, for sure, but not from a distance.

Nothing would happen as far as electrical shocks or anything. Electricity moves through water, yes. But a sea is much larger then a bath tub, and in all honesty you wouldn't feel anything at all unless you were right next to it.

Not only will it sink, but if it was plugged in, it will short out and trip the breaker of the circuit it was plugged into.
Eventually the metal parts will corrode away and the plastic shell will become a very nice starter home for the next hermit crab who happens by.

you'll ruin the hair dryer if it was off.
but if it was on it would send an electric shock through the water. I'm not sure if it will shock the entire see or not, but it might send small shocks to places around the world.

the hair drier will short circuit...the fuse of the electrical circuit will go off.
