Is poetry a gift from God?

Yes, I think so. I love writing poetry, and it just flows. It is truly a gift from God. Poets see things about the world, that most people don't even notice.

Here is one that I wrote:

7-Up People

7-Up People, look up to cokes to pull them down.
For some reason, they hate to see you get off the ground.
They're the ones always discounting what you do.
Saying anything to make your dream or plan, not come true.
But if they'd stop with all the moan and the groan, maybe they'd get a life of their own.
The real thing people, must watch for them everyday.
Those never had it, never will people, are always getting in the way.
My life seems like a trip down a soda pop aisle.
It gets much harder to have a coke and a smile.
Why do they live their lives as they do?
I guess they hate the sprite in you.

according to plato, knowledge is innate. we just need to orient it. same as in poetry. if you have the skill, then develop it. practice makes perfect. never think that you cannot do something. it is just you who thinks that you cannot. God gave us the skills and talents to do things we wanted to do. we just need to enhance it.
