I certainly have many memories that are more than five minutes old, this question for example, but it is not proof that I existed only that I remember existing.

An adventure into a fridge that has fuzzy, icky used-to-be-some-sort-of-food products ought to provide some evidence. If someone just created the universe I firmly believe they'd let the Tupperware grow their own monstrosities in our fridges just for the fun of seeing what would develop and to watch us go 'eeewwww!'

Can you prove that the universe was not created just a second ago? Let alone five minutes. You talk about a thing of the past - a bygone universe of a bygone age. The universe that you and me experience now, the universe that is alive and well, is being created now - right now! How now can be a now?

So the aliens created you five minutes ago with a full set of memories that go back a lifetime entirely for their own amusement.
They must be even more bored than we are on here.

Well, seeing as most of us are older than 5 minutes it stands to reason that the universe was here before us otherwise how would we be able to exist? Or are we merely dust particles floating around in space and creating in our dusty particly minds this world and whatever lies beyond?

Nice try, but proof is in the pudding. Who can prove the universe didn't spring into being, ready-made, at the instant of my birth? Because one cannot offer definitive proof about the origins of everything, it leads to ridiculous flights of pseudo-intellectual babble such as this. Science can provide where pure philosophy fails.

At the time of writing, you asked this question 7 minutes ago. So I gues the universe is at least 7 minutes old.

Your question ought to correctly be asking both of two issues. what's the that technique of time? OR what's the nature of "truth"? "Time" is a idea man made with the aid of humanity depending on the actual moves of gadgets with the aid of what we call "area" operating example, the earth rotates on its axis, and one total rotation is termed a "day". This "day" in then mathematically divided back and back into hours, minutes, and seconds. The earth strikes in a rotation round our solar which in turn is split into months and totals a twelve months. those divisions of the earths circulate are what we've named "time". So....5 minutes is only a wiggle of our planet contained in the universe. if you're asking then particularly about "truth" you would possibly want to keep in mind that your "truth" isn't some thing in spite of the undeniable fact that the sum of your perceptions. truth is determined with the aid of what you spot, experience, listen, style, scent, and experience. the answer on your question is that in hardship-free words the following/NOW exists.
