The last time I checked, smoking one cigarette shortens your life span by about fifteen minutes (from all causes combined).
It's a filthy habit!!

Absolutely not! Its a filthy, smelly and very expensive habit...and I'm not even going to try to address the myriad of medical/health issues involved. It may look cool and give your hands something to do, but there are few things more repugnant to me than smelling a smoker who reeks of it, or kissing a girl whose mouth smells and tastes like an ashtray. No thank you.

I actually quit 3 months ago. I think that was the hardest thing ever! But when I did smoke I did not care.

I never even tried it and im 30.I have lost both of my Grandparents to lung and breast cancer. One uncle and one aunt to cancer. All of my friends smoke except me.Even my man does and I can't get him to quit.My mother smoked for so many years and she agreed to quit Jan 1st, 03 and had a heart attack 9 days later. She's been gone 3 years. When you lose so many people you love from smoking how could you not care.

I quit about two months ago after spending the evening in the emergency room watching a 14 year old boy wheel his mother around in a wheelchair to get treatment for her pain from lung cancer. She was so young, and she was dying of cancer, and her son had to take care of her... I talked to them for a long time. I quit for my babies. They're gonna need me, and I don't want them to have to wheel me around the ER one day because of cigarettes. Sure, I'm not guaranteed tomorrow, but I don't need to be adding to the load of health issues I've already got.

No, I don't smoke. I don't understand why people start smoking, especially teenagers who are so informed about the dangers of smoking. Why they think it looks cool to smoke - I'll never understand.
