it is a system of government that does work and very well.
the challenge and "snag" (for lack of a better word) is the citizens lack of active participation. It is a system "by the people for the people".
If you don't show up to vote, if you do not take the opportunity to communicate your thoughts, feelings, concerns available through all sorts of Media then, if you do not take the time to keep informed (news papers, televisions, Internet, local news, etc,etc,etc..)
you are letting the "politicians " run the show.
playing "Monday morning quarter back" makes for good conversation but, does not effect needed change.

I think they're doing a job. Yes, they have a certain reputation for sleeze and scandal, but I think some politicians do genuinely try to make a difference.

According to me, all the politicians are a piece of garbage. And we citizens are the garbage. That is because we only made them politicians, voted for them and paying them to be on that spot which causes corruption......

Politicians just want to enrich while in the position. People should elect candidates that are really sincere in serving the people.

politicians in the beginning are people that stand for certain ideals and set of principles that they feel that would benefit general society. however, once elected into any office, they face many challenging situations where their integrity for those principles can be comprimised for their own personal benefit. thus altering their standing point on what they feel would benefit general society. -- for the most part politians are whores for anyone who will make it worth their while.

I have not yet come across any politician who really work for the interest of their nation. If you know any body please inform me. Every body work only for their own family or for their party.
