Jordan played with the Washington Wizards his last NBA game in Philadelphia on April 16, 2003 before retiring for the third and surely final time.
To be considered for induction by a screening committee, a player must be fully retired from play for at least five years, this mean that by 2008, Jordan will be eligable for the hall of fame ..... only if he doesn't make a crazy suprise comeback in between.

He retired from Washington in 2003, so he'll be eligible in 2008.
