Nothing l have 4 black cats,they are always crossing the road with me and l don't have bad luck(well not that l know of)

A lot of omens were just created from thin air. A coincidence that someone connected with a bad event. Some bad luck signs have genuine roots. Don't walk under a ladder. Someone did and something fell on them. That one is actually common sense. If you light three cigarettes with one match, it is bad luck for the third person. In WW 1 there was a lot of down time in the trenches and smoking was permitted. Lighting three cigarettes with one match gave a German soldier time to see the light, raise and aim his rifle, and fire at the light. I'm sure it happened and the third soldier was shot in the face (which I consider very bad luck).

probably it's started on the "salem" tragedy.
when a black cat appears, people get frightened coz the rumor said it belongs to a witch, so they keep watching the cat (in case it do some harm to them).
then, since they keep looking at the cat while they're walking......WHAM!!! they hit a wall...... or tripped....etc
