If the P.I. plans on improving the environment for the people especially the children so they have a clean place to grow and learn, why dont the government put garbage cans so that people can be disiplined enough to throw there waste away rather than dumping them where ever they want without fear of persecution, this practice is a small step to improvement not just for sanitation reasons but in a bigger scale...

actually there are local ordinances in every city and towns in the philippines with regards to littering but implementing it is another story. addressing daily hunger is more of a priority than cleanliness which most consider as having only aesthetic value.

I think cities and municipalities have anti littering ordinances. The only problem is, the implementation. SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) Youth leaders are tasked to help out in the campaign and has infact tried putting garbage cans for every 500 kilometer in their respective area. Unfortunately, some people would steal this for personal use...:(....Some communities have also passed laws that would catch people dumping their garbages in a non-designated area and not sorting them out .....

so where will they put this trash after its in the can, you already have people living in the dumpster areas, this is a good idea but now got to figure out how to get rid of the waste, then we can work on the water so make it drinkable

THERE ARE. But Filipino citizens are not that disciplined to place every trash in a bin to keep a clean surrounding...

.... I say: I'll blame it to the Gov't for not having a STRICT COMPLIANCE for this LAW.....

there is a law or laws on everything but they are often ignored by the citizens...
