I have a very sweet flirty daughter like I was,a son who likes to"debate"everything like a prosecuter and a daughter that is a rebel to the max,sneaks out,etc.So they are all a little like me,but I turned out great!

I think they meant it like as in stubborn,I didn't do drugs and I was sweet and helped my mom with all my siblings alot!

My mum used to say that to me about my stubbornness. Now I have two kids of my own, and when we were discussing the eldest a while back, mum said, "I was hoped you'd have a kid as stubborn as you so that you'd know what you were like as a child ... but she is ten times worse than you ever were!"

I think it's a good thing. More for experience than anything. I'm 19 years old, and I was a "lot to handle" in my earlier teen years. My mom always told me the same thing. Now that i've been finished school for a year, and am responsible for myself, I realize that all the bitching and complaining from my mom WASN'T for no reason... it was just foreshadow to my one day future. At least I know what to expect.

I was a fairly good kid, but when I was bad my mom use to say that to me. I have a son, and when he would get me mad I would say that to him too...And I can say he is just like me....don't smoke, don't drink, and does not do drugs.......so in my case the saying is true and it is good~

Yeah I used to get that all the time growing up!
But I dont have kids yet.... but if I did I would want them to be like me!

Depends on how your relationship with your parents and your personality. If you were trouble in your younger years, it means bad, cause that means "I hope you deal with the same thing i'm dealing cause you have no idea how hard you are to live with"
