Hopefully they're not doing what they're doing over on this side of the pond! They've started dumping the liquid contents out into big vats. Umm, wasn't the threat about binary explosives that are only dangerous when mixed together? Seems like it would be a bad idea to pour all of them out together into one container.

Most likely they'll throw most of it out. Anything they could sell, they might sell...I think they've sold lighter/fingernail clippers/etc. that they've been collecting since 9/11.

I do not know what the rules and regulations are, but I would think that the confiscated items would have to be destroyed. If they are not destroyed, I'm sure that there will be social services organizations that could distribute them to needy people. The people who were flying could choose to place the items in their checked baggage also. Have a good day!

Donate them to underpriveleged people would be good, but for health reasons, they will probably be forced to dump them..
