I have been listening to Thom Yorke's new album and the last few Radiohead albums and I am amazed on how their music gets me through my day. Does anyone else feel this way?

The band, in general, is the most musically advanced band out, today. They don't rely on a patterned formula. They tend to push their limits and try to expand their musical horizons on every release that they put out. From OK Computer up to Thom Yorke's "The Eraser" they have yet to yield to be classified in one specific genre. That, in itself, allows them to transcend category and simply be a BAND. Of modern times, there aren't mainly bands who would perform such a task . . . and even fewer who succeed as well as Radiohead does. For those who are not familiar with the band, and enjoys intelligent Rock music with amazing soundscapes, you should get acquainted with them. They are not just good, they are GREAT.

In my opinion, they are really on top of my list... But I don't think it's possible to point one band and say they're the best one out there. For that matter, there are thousands and thousands of bands that we don't know and might be good as well.
Also, I think music is timeless. One good Beatles song is still one really great Beatles song 40 years after it was written and first heard. So perhaps the "right now" part of your question makes my answer uncertain, because it kind of makes reference to all the media and Propaganda many radio stations, TV channels and websites make.
Still, Radiohead really is great.

I'm 17 and I love Classic Rock and Metal...heck I'm listening to You've Got Another Thing Comin' by Judas Priest...they're good ^^ But I like...Tool and Blue October right now XD....hmm...You have to search around dude...Black Label Society....Megadeth seems good.Incubus. The Mars Volta now that's a good band...listen to these two songs they're join together "Son Et Lumiere" and "Inertiatic ESP" those are some songs that'll make you think.

no way, coldplay is the best hands down, by the way could you list some of radioheads popular songs, i mean i know most of the lyrics but i just can't remember their names.
