I recently got proactiv, and its been working great. I was wondering if after my acne clears up, if I could switch to a more simple, and inexpensive face wash. Good Idea?

Sure but your pimpoles may come back, depends on if Proactiv is really working for you or just the act of cleaning with 3 products is what works.
I had no difference using or not using proactiv.

I've never used it myself but my friend did and her skin stayed looking good for about 6 months after she stopped using proactiv but now it's not as perfect anymore. So just wait and see..if you start having pimples again, go back to proactiv.

I don't think its a good idea. A Pharmacist told me that when you stop using Proactive all your acne will come back. But i did that and nothing happened to me, but i guess it depends on your skin type

We have found that acne will come back if you are using things with harmful chemicals in.
check for sodium lauryl sulphate (or Laureth sulphate) I have heard others who's skin improved with proactiv for a few months then went back to acne.
Acne is hormonally driven and can be made worse by harmful chemicals...evn if they are in the toothpaste, bodywash not only in your skin care. Email me and I'll tell you in more detail.
