the cause of the itch is ingrown hair not STD ( you tickled me with laughter on that one) so the best way is try after shave cream for sensitive skin if that does not work you have to opt for trimming, this means you do not clean shave but shave close to the skin leavin very very short hairs above the skin thisway you will not itch coz the itch happens when hair is trapped under the skin and tries to shoot out, thus the lessions and itch
i dout you meant trim i think you meant clean shave, trim will not lead to itching
best of luck,
note meaning of STD= sexually transmitted diseases

when you cut hair, it has a jagged tip so when you cut/trim it, the jagged tip causes itching when it touches the skin.
from what hear, cutting it right down or shaving it is fine until the hair starts comming through and then it itches like mad... simply because of the tips of the hair aggravating the skin.
Try using a bit of lotion on the skin as dry skin intensifies itching a bit.

If it is trimming it shouldn't itch, if you are shaving pay attention to the women who have answered. They know.

It is probably shaving rash, caused by ingrown hairs, in which case, get a lotion and apply it to the area you have trimmed.

do you trim or shave?
trim it is poking, try not trimming so short.
with shaving it is probably burn from shaving off all that skin along with the hair. esp with multi bade razors they cut the hair below the surface causing more ingrown hairs.
