If you're a boss, do you know what your employees say behind your back? If you're an employee, what do you say about your boss behind his/her back? Would it hurt their feelings if they knew?

I am a boss and if an employee talks behind my back it is very hurtful. I spend an awful lot of time working to make my employees happy. For people to say that bosses don't care about their employees is complete ignorance. Those of you who feel that way about ALL bosses are just jealous that you are not a boss.

It is true that some bosses are complete jerks. Some could not care less about the people that they oversee and I don't understand how people can treat others this way. At the end of the day, we are all human beings. And at the end of the day, we should all be working together. If the employee and the boss work together, everyone does better.

Bosses know how thier employees feel about them as bosses were also employee in thier past. They know how to deal with employee thats why he becomes boss and employee remain employee.

It took lot of diplomtic skill to become boss, and they never give employee a hint what they know about him. Bosses have some of the future bosses inbetween the employees who tell each and every thing happening inside them.. and employees has no clue.

Sure, you betcha. Having been a prole, an underling, a gofer, a stooge, a lowly, a mere employer - the bosses didn't start out (most of them) as bosses. They can remember what it is like.
They also know about your dishing, probably, or else just don't care. See, contempt is hard to hide. Particularly if it becomes habitual to you.
Try to see the admirable things about your boss, unless he/she is a complete ninny, in which case you should find a job where you can actually learn a thing or three from your superior.
Hope that helps.

i think bosses know they are generally hated, simply because of their position, no one likes someone who has the right to fire them.

I think they must know. They could care less, if they don't like what they know than they can just replace you.
