when I was living with my parents, the television we had depended on the arial for reception. You know arials, sometimes the screen goes fuzzy, sometimes the sound goes. My mother would prefer a fuzzy screen if the sound was pristine, but I would prefer a crystal clear view.

(My view, if you want to listen rather than watch, turn on the radio.)

Anyway, vision or sound?

Since most of what is said on tv doesnt matter, i would prefer great vision. I can handle not hearing everything, as i dont watch tv much anyways, but a fuzzy screen sucks. if i had it good though- i would want it to be a good tv all around.

I want the sound to be good rather than the screen. If the sound isn't good enough I'll get annoyed and stop watching, while I don't mind if the screen gets a little fuzzy sometimes or isn't very clear, just as long as I still see something.

The TV vs radio... the thing is, you have different programs on TV than on the radio. I may want to hear something that's on the TV that I can't find on the radio.

When I was a kid we had the same deal in our house. I always chose vision over sound. Now that I live in the age of cable and digital satellite: if I don’t receive crystal clear video and audio, I turn it off and read a book until the cable is fixed.

I think, as far as a tv goes, I'd rather have better sound, b/c you can look at the screen and basically tell what's going on, but you can't always guess what they're saying.

Yikes, Crystal Clear View here too. I have the same problem. I can see all the channels clearly but can't hear them at all.

Sound. You can always visualize the picture even if it is a little fuzzy.
