"Until now there are 123 Israelis killed including 40 civilians and 861 lebanese mostly civilians..." source CNN.
well it makes something like 30% civillians killed on Israeli side by Hezbollah and more than 90% civillians killed in Lebannon by Israelis.
Your thoughts please?

Israel has crossed the line of protecting itself and entered the realm of cruelty.

Sounds to me like Israel is taking the Bush hardline approach. I thought they were smarter than that. Even if Hezbollah is firing from civilian areas, they are not doing anywhere near the same damage, and it does not make it OK to kill civilians. It would take a very objective and educated (about the trues facts) person to make any kind of good comment here, but I am glad it is being discussed, I hope we all can try to look at the big picture.

Nazi Israeli policy is to disperse civilians, uproot the communities, and destroy the infrastructure that sustains them and provides them with their means of livelihood.

That is why Israel has been pounding away at the Shia areas of south Beirut that Hizbullah evacuated even before the bombing began. That is why it is attacking Shia population centres in the Beka'a valley in the east of the country. And that is why it is deliberately depopulating south Lebanon, driving almost a million civilians northwards in the hope of destroying what remains of the area's infrastructure, so as to make it impossible for its residents to return home any time in the near future. As in Gaza - which has been hit by 12,000 artillery shells over the past six weeks - Israel is creating a system of free fire and buffer zones, where it will be free to act in response to any "provocation".

Sadly, there is really not much new here. Depopulation is a longstanding Israeli expedient, used sometimes for grand strategic purposes, as in the 1948 war in Palestine, and at other times for less grandiose aims, but no less painfully, as in Lebanon in the 1978, 1982 and 1996 invasions.

First, ask CNN hoe they can tell it was civilians dead in Lebanon...Hezbollah does not wear uniforms.....so they could not possibly know.....I don't know where they got that figure about the Israelis, there was more than 40 civilians killed prior to the surge inward....there were like 200 dead before that time 93+% were civilians....and most were civilians.....Israel is fighting the Hezbollah, the Hezbollah are fighting the Jews...not military.....Hezbollah is targeting cities with their missiles, not military bases......Israel drops leaflets forewarning of attacks to come....Hezbollah does not....The Israeli army in out in the open, and going after Hezbollah....Hezbollah is hiding in neighborhoods, firing missiles from neighborhoods, and putting their Lebanese civilians in harms way....so, you question is, who is the terrorists....Hezbollah, and they are the terrorists to the Lebanese also.....

Some bad attitude already evident in your answers and you will get more. I think that Israel has gone well beyond the limits of defending itself and is engaged in an illegal conflict. Civilians are protected under the Geneva convention and should not be targeted. This does not cease to be the case because certain terrorist units exploit this and hide out in the suburbs. Even in war there must be some control over the actions of armies - hence the concept of 'War Crimes'.

This is solely Hezbollah's fault. They have their weapons hidden in populated areas. They're so damn twisted in their minds about destroying Israel, they don't care that they put the Lebanese civilians in harm's way. Just think about the thousands of rockets fired at Israel so far. How come that's not get reported so much?

How we know they're civilians? (for the guy up there). Simple actually: They seem 15 year old and younger. They seem 70 Year old and older. They seem to be women!!

Oh i get your point, they are Hezbollah disguised as children, women, and elderly?!!

while Clinton tried to bomb Bin encumbered's camps, the Republicans cried 'No Bombs For Monica' and 'Wag The canines', because of the fact they theory that punishing Clinton for added-marital intercourse substitute into greater considerable than scuffling with terrorism. i'm fascinated by Reagan's close alliances with Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin encumbered. Do you have any information on that? .
