I was in a small Bosnian village where the people say that the fairies existed in the local woods. The elders of the village said they used to see them up until the time when the church bells would ring....
After this time they said the fairies disappeared. (When the church was built)
They claimed they were about human size, very beautiful and they would have one leg that was an elongated goats leg.
They also did stipulate that they would take the beautiful boys of the town into the woods where they would not return from, apparently starving them to death.
What you believe is your choice. ;)

Fairies are very small. Just because human actors play them in movies does not mean they are big. There has never been a fairy that was even as tall as a man's knee. They are SMALL.
