Why is it that guys shirts are buttoned from right to left and ladies shirts are buttoned from left to right? most people right handed isn't it? so why must there be a difference?

I believe it's because (when it comes to royalty) men dressed themselves and women were dressed by their maids.

Two theories...
(1) Men used to dress themselves, while women had the help of a maid. Since most people are right-handed, the buttoning was for the sake of the maid.
(2) Women were forced to button themselves using the inferior hand, in order to show them that they themselves were inferior to men.
