I live in austin.. The resturant isn't what you think it is.. You order one meal for EVERYONE at your table. There are no single servings..Everything you order is family sized. They are pretty pricey, you are looking at 100 bucks.. But It is an awesome place, the atmosphere is cool and the food is great. ..

What i loved about it the most was, you really felt like you were in another country the was they set everything up.

I guess this is a chain because I was at one in Scottdale Az two weeks go. At the Scottdale location our group of 12 was seated at a round table with a big turntable in the middle (in the middle of the turntable was a bust of the Pope - in fact the whole area where we were seated had nothing but pictures of various Popes and other religious artifacts. Other sections of the restaurant features Sophia Loren, Frank Sinatra, etc - it as so tacky that it was fun)
Anyway, there are 2 portion sizes: Huge and Humungous. With us, the servers brought out the plates and placed them on the turntable and we spun the table and shared probably 8 main courses. I thought the 9 layer Lasagna was very good as was the lemon chicken.
For desert, I suggest the tiramisu (which comes out in a soup bowl!) I thought this was the best I ever had. Someone ordered the chocolate cake. The piece that came out was so large it was embarrassing.
As far as prices, I seem to remember the Lasagna was about $18.95 (That's a guess) and the tiramisu was $9.95 I thought it was reasonable both because of the quality and the size (both were the smaller size).
The only entree that disappointed was the Zuppa de Pesce (which, of course, I ordered). It was only average.
If 2 people go and each orders an entree, you'll need doggie bags for sure.

Hey Stino,

I was asked a very similar question a few days ago. So I will digest all of the answers to this page:

1). Food: Olive Garden on Shared Plates
2). Prices: Olive Garden
3). Noise: As loud as your neighborhood bar
4) Atmosphere: a Cool Olive Garden
5). WAIT: 4 EVER! They don't take reservations so depending on the popularity of the location you are going to you will wait an hour or more (standing!) for your table.

6). What the reviewers are saying: I've read two reviews, they both basically said:

" Best bet: The meatballs "

OK, So I will wait for 1+ hour for the meatballs ... :-s

7). What to bring: TUMS! I've been twice, needed them both times.

8). SAVING GRACE! THEY HAVE BOOZE!

Good Eating (?) !

Tree is right! They bring big servings to the table and everyone helps themselves. All Italian food, of course, and the food is excellent. I can't remember what the prices were like but, if you go, you'll really enjoy yourself.
