Although I find booing an insensitive and immature technique from the fans, I know that the Oxford boos did not affect Cristiano's performance. I think it enhanced it. He scored 2 goals and assisted in one. Manchester fans gave him a standing ovation and I applaud them for that. That was classy, not the boos!

No, I hate it when people boo players. I mean its not as if the people actually doing the booing could do a better job than the palyer in question...

Depends how strong their mentality is, it doesn't depend on skill at all. Some players play better when booed, some don't. Some just don't take notice.

No, they would play worse because they would lose their concentration. I've seen this happen before to Jens Lehmann, when Dortmund played against Bayern Munich. All the fans there supported Oliver Kahn, and were jeering, booing, and chanting insults to Lehmann. He was really upset and struggled during that match because of it.

youre talking about cristiano ronaldo i assume???

well, personally, i think if someone (and by someone i mean a whole stadium full of people) would boo me, it would really bring my spirits down. but rather than just stooping to their level, i would try to play better in order to show that their childish behavior didnt affect me.

i think cristiano ronaldo showed that he wasnt phased by the booing cause he did a really great job. he wasnt playing to impress the crowd, he was playing for his team. besides, with the money he makes, im sure he could give a sh!t what a whole stadium of people thinks about him.

depends on the temperament of the player- some respond with defiance and play better (Beckhamesque), where as others lose the head (Rooneyesque)...

depends on the mentality/maturity of the player. i'll play BETTER, just to piss them off ;-) or to prove a point that they are wrong.
