The universe is an enclosed system, and will not go on "forever" - eventually it will end. And energy can be neither created or destroyed, just converted into a new form - so for each bit of radiation converted into a new form, another form of energy is converted into radiation (such as stars - they give out quite a bit of radiation). The universe is a zero sum equation - it came from nothing, will return to nothing, and in between is a load of complicated maths that, ultimately, adds up to zero.
The point in asking this question was to give me 10 points.

As you will discover from lots of the solutions here, human beings believe that each and each of the skill and the subject interior the universe will unfolded over limitless area and raise the subject-unfastened temperature by utilising some stages, with the universe ending in a chilly darkish place. on the different hand, i believe the universe will cycle, ending in a great crunch, which leads to yet another huge bang. no person knows for optimistic, and at this 2nd in time, your wager is as valid as all and sundry else's.

Theres the big crunch theory, where we're all drifting outwards in the expanding universe from the initial big bang, then it will reach its ultimate limit and crash back in on its self, causing ANOTHER big bang to equal the first. Make sense? Sort of.
Personally, we don't know why we're here, we don't know where we are, we don't even know where Lord Lucan disappeared to, or when the airports will get back to normal. One day the insects will take over the world, or possibly the parrots, so don't worry about it.

The common belief is that, yes, eventually all the radiation energy will be gone, or part of the cosmic background, and that the universe will be dark and frozen.

The expansion of the universe will reach a limit when gravitational forces will take over and it will start to collapse again.
