You can search free books on the net but most of them will either be old fiction or books that are not fully available. There is a huge copyright law to put free books on the internet. You can read parts of books on Google books but not the whole thing. You can however buy e books online and download them to your computer.
Project Gutenburg does not have books most people in the U.S. look for.

There's some Shakespeare stories on the net, which u can read for free.
some other stories can be found on e net for free too. jus kip searchin :)
