I beg to differ. Toothpicks are not dangerous.
Although, its easy to poke your gums with it and die from blood loss, or swallow a toothpick and die from internal damage, the worse yet would be splintering yourself with a toothpick away from civilisation and dying a slow and very agonising death.
But on the upside, toothpicks have been used to save more lives than penicillin, and have helped millions of people remove bits of meat in their mouths than could easily make you choke to death.
