Let him run around in a park for a while. He's 2 1/2! He'll be bored in museums unless they have little kids exhibits or practically anything else unless there are things for toddlers to do. I suggest you find things to entertain yourself and take him with you. Make a stop at a park or playground every once in a while so he can blow off steam and then do what you want to again. Almost nobody remembers anything they did before the age of six anyway.

Best thing is to do on one of the days is London Zoo this would a full day out with lots of animals to see

And maybe a trip to Kew Gardens would be great, with all the parkland to run and play and maybe even take a picnic for lunch and lots of greenhouse jungles to explore

There is the Science Museum has a very nice hands on section in the basement, which has an area i think called The Garden which is based for under 4's, some nice water play, and other things in there.

natural history museam and next door is the science museam, both are free. also the millieum wheel is fun and no chance of falling out!

natural history museum, its free of charge and he will get to see the dinosaurs and the park, he is still a bit young and will get tired easily.
