The house is in my name, and I am the only one on the Mortgage and deeds. My wife does not pay anything towards the mortgage, but pays the electricity and gas bills. If we got divorced (no kids) is she entitled to anything of the house ?

Well, you do have to see what the laws in your state/country/etc say about it, but it's pretty common that the value of the property would split between you both. If it's an uncontested divorce, you may be able to come to a compromise regarding the property, but based on the tone of this question, I would guess it's probably not. Good luck.

Depends on if this house was obtained before you were married.
Laws in your state also govern how marital property and debt is split.
I would seek out legal counsel ....consultation ONLY....and get your ducks in a row and fill your head with all the accurate information as possible.

Was there a pre=nuptial before you married?

Good luck....(i work in Family Law---it's UGLY)

yes bet she will. but that will depends on the law in your country. in singapore here, all priviledge are given to the wife. as long it is the hubby who request for the divource, the wife has every right to ask for sharing of all the deeds, and petition. and out of 10 cases, 9 cases got their fair share of deeds...

Depends on the laws where you are and all that. You might look into whether or not there are any local lawyers who could give you a free consult to answer those questions.

She is entitled to half! You're married, it's irrelevant whose name the house is in!
