Stop using the word love. You don't love either of these guys. And why should he get over it? You ditched him on a date. If they're smart, neither of them will be with you.

He's never gonna get over it... you ditched him for his best friend out of all people. I dont blame him for being hurt. The problem is you think you love this guy, but you dont. If you did, you would'nt have left with his friend in the first place. You may like both these guys, which is why its causing all this confusion in you. And its natural to get confused sometimes. Which is why you need to get rid of both of them. If you were so sure about one of them, you would've known which one to pick, no questions asked. Your next move is to acknowledge that you did wrong, say your apologies to both guys and then move on. Take this mistake and use it as a learning experience to never do it again. Cause not only will guys start loosing respect for you, you will start loosing respect for you as well.
Also, this guy needs to re-evaluate his friends cause a real friend would've never left with his buddys girl. How rude!
How would you feel if one of your home girls did that to you? Left with some guy you've been crushing on all year?

well I dont think you really love him if you ditched him for his friend, but then stranger things have been known to happen. Regardless, being with his best friend is a serious no no, that is just wrong on so many levels. And what kind of a friend is this best friend anyway. NOT COOL. I would back off and take some time to figure it all out. But I wouldnt continue to tell anyone you are dating that it is exclusive if you plan on dating their friends. Be honest.

People will argue its not true love.. trust.. I've heard it all on both ends.. sometimes real feelings take choices and chances. You took a chance to ditch someone for what you thought was the next best thing.. thats okay.. you are entitled to an opinon.. but.. hey choose the one you love.. but explain your reasoning behind. it.. also it depends on the way you ditched him.. if you did it coldly and made out with his friend at a show.. is different from you went to amovie

That doesn't sound like the behaviour of someone who loves him.
You need to look at what "love" means to you, and what responsibilities it brings.
You actions could indicate an underlying fear of intimacy and / or commitment.
Only you can answer that.
