Would you still make this trip?, I only have one sibling and I don't get to see her often if at all and I wonder if it is safer to travel now or at christmas time.

Don't be worried but please be diligent. Its no use worrying all the time if God wants you he will take you its as simple as that.

You have to live for today, go see your sister it might be the last chance you get. If another chance comes along all well and good but again go it might be the last chance. You can step outside your door and get knocked down by a bus. Despite all the media about planes they are still the safest form of transport.

GO AND ENJOY YOUR VISIT.

I can appreciate that you are scared at the moment. I would keep an eye on the situation and make a more informed decision nearer the time. To be honest I think the situation will be sorted by then, the only question is how long will the security precautions regarding hand luggage last?

Carry on with life as normal (otherwise the terrorists have won) and be vigilant.

Visit her.. Don't be afraid.. Terrorists want to attack us on a mass scale. They know that anything short of what happened on 9-11 probably won't phase the American Public. If they wanted to attack us on a small scale it would have happened by now. I can get on a greyhound bus with a bottle of rum and a bag of weed in my pocket, and i wouldn't be caught. You are probably more safe on an airplane because of security precautions in America, than you are on any other form of mass transportation. So be confident that you are going to be okay, and nothing bad is going to happen to you.

I would still make the trip and I'll tell you why....I'm going to visit my cousin in Chicago in a few weeks. I think it will be fine but, that's just my opinion.

No don't be afraid. After the London bombings people made a conserted effort to carry on and not let the terrorists/murderers get the upper hand. Carry on.

Don't worry and go and enjoy this is a preplanned hype to divert the world view on the excesses being done to the people of Lebanon by Israel.

It is probably still safe to travel. Just the hassle of the luggage situationa and the delays with the checks may still give you a problem.
