Hi! Crossing the ''border'' could be difficult, but it is possible. The Turkish troops sometimes like to cause problems to anyone who is trying to cross, for no obvious reason...
I am sorry to see that a lot of people still visit ''Northern'' Cyprus... Do you know that 32 years ago the turkish troops invated Cyprus and took over the northern part by force? Thousands of people were forced to leave their houses, many were killed and hundreds are still missing! Now there are a lot of Turks and gypsies living there so the area is really poor and dangerous...Why don't you stay at the southern part? You will enjoy sandy beaches, sunny wheather and the hospitality of the people there! And don't forgeet for the famous nightlife at Ayia-Napa!

Check with the travel agent, but, Larnaca and all Cypriots are very hospitable people! After the Turkish invasion, dozens of thousands of uneducated, dangerous and poor people were moved to Northern Cyprus. You will not have any problems, though, especially while in the free part! At the borders,m i do not think you will have any problems!
Enjoy your stay at the island of Aphrodite!
{I am not Cypriot, neither religious person, but Cyprus is an excellent region for vacations and meet great people, especially the ones who have moved to the South and the Muslim Cypriots of the North!)

It was a while ago when I was in Cyprus, but no, you were not allowed to cross the border to Northern Cyprus, for whatever reason. Maybe you should check with the travel agent
