You may want to try and limit sleep a bit during the day. If the baby is sleeping enough during the day (too much), then of course he won't sleep at night. Try interacting with him more during the day, playing, singing, etc, to keep him awake more so that he will sleep more at night.

I don't think you can make your baby sleep, incredibly frustrating though it is. I have a 15 month old who still won't sleep through the night, all you can do is get as much rest as you can and then you'll be able to deal with your baby at night.
But don't worry, your baby may switch to suddenly sleeping through very soon, because every baby is different, you will never know when it will happen.
If you're just asking about how to get him/her off to sleep, try giving a nice relaxing Johnsons Bedtime Bath, but not if your baby has eczema- it will dry the skin out, or that was my experience anyway.
Good luck, honey!

Babies normally take 4 to 6 months to adjust to sleep patterns. You could try giving her a warm bath followed with her feed just before you would want her to sleep. Also, by the time night falls, become a little more serious and try to not play with her. With actions, you should be telling her morning is for play and night is for sleep.
All the best

My daughter had her nights and days mixed to due 3rd shift at hospital, sometimes a radio on something soft and low will help,Best way is to keep her up during the day as much as you can.then she will get tired at night. Also bathe and feed her before bedtime, and doctors now a days will say no to this but it worked on both of my kids, baby food before bed, oatmeal is more filling and that may help her sleep at night as well.Good luck and its all a part of motherhood.Sometimes just a relief at night, mom helping out can save you some grief and help you get some good sleep as well.

Try to set a routine that signals it's time for bed. For my 4 month old, we first do some cereal, followed by a relaxing bath, some cuddle time, then she nurses until she falls asleep. Find a routine that works for you and your baby. Whether you want to rock them, do massage, or use a mobile, the routine will eventually tell them that it is time to sleep.

Well my son is only 3 months but what I do is I keep him up more during the day and then before bed I make him a bottle and but like a tablespoon of rice cereal in with his formula and then he has a mobile about his crib he can not sleep without that. also try rubbing his/her stomach in circles and sing to them that always helps or if it is where they are crying just let them cry themselves to sleep.

Reduce nap time during the day, give a nice warm bath about an hour before bed and a nice warm bottle with cereal in it when going to sleep.

My daughter is 2 months and sleeps all night. I give her rice, mixed or oatmeal in her formula in a feeder at night. We started when she was 6 weeks. She has slept all night since. I even told the doctor and she was fine with it.

Your baby is still to young to sleep through the night. babies need to be fed through the night up until 6 months. there bodies need it because they are growing at an alarming rate right now. please don't force it, just nap during the day if you can and enjoy it while it lasts because when he/she does start sleeping through the night, you will miss that quiet time with them, when it is qiuet adn they want to cuddle with there mommy. my daughter is 15 months now and sleeps through and i do kinda miss when she would wake up at night to cuddle because now she is on the move all the time and doesn't have time to cuddle mamma!

just let him/her cry til they fall asleep. This is what the experts say. If you always go in there when the baby is crying at night, they will never start sleeping through the night (or not for years). . so you're only making things worse if you constantly cater to the baby's cries at night.
