On-line? To match custom designer pieces? I am versitle with materials and live near wholesalers and know where to get items. I also have a huge inventory of supplies at home and tools. I do not do silver work or casting, but do findings and wirewrap and handknottting. I learn new techniques frequently and keep up with trends. My trun around time can be 24 hours or less.

How should I market this? I will do whatever is demanded by fashion. I am versitle.

If someone can tell me how to list properly on ebay that would be fine. This is not junk, so people are not going to get it for $1.00. This is art stuff.

Family and friends are already wearing my designs custom made for their specific style. They get complements constantly. Perhaps they should carry cards with a web site.

There definitely is a market for custom made jewelry. I have seen people selling items like that successfully on the internet. However, it's probably also a question of price. The ones I saw all went for reasonable prices.

Open an account on http://www.ebay.com and you will learn very fast how to sell your jewelry. You don't have to let your items go for $1. You can either pick a fixed "Buy It Now" price, or let people bid for your items.

Go here to open your ebay account: https://scgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RegisterEnterInfo&siteid=0&co_partnerid=2&usage=0&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fjewelry.ebay.com&rafId=0&encRafId=default

Once you have tried Ebay for a while and if it works for you you should consider opening your own website to sell your items directly. However, Ebay is definitely where you should start since that's where you can reach most people.

Good Luck!

I'd forget about eBay..it will eat up your profits in fees. Why don't you just make your own basic website? Learn basic html and put pics of your jewelry on there.

Also tell all your family and friends you make jewelry and get them to tell other people. Wear it out and have diy business cards with your website and contact info ready to hand to people if they ask.

The key to how successful you are besides your designs and cost pricing (not too cheap but not too expensive either) will be how much you promote it! Good luck. :)
