Don't get yourself concerned yet. November is months away, and things will probably have calmed by then. Besides, even as is, you should still be fine with all the extra security measures. If I had any money or anywhere to go, I would feel comfortable enough flying.

No. Whilst the terrorist threats are real, the scaremongering makes it bigger than it is. The news over the last couple of days has suggested that the plan was to blow up 10 or 11 planes almost simultaneously. Whilst this is absolutely awful, do the maths. How many planes fly from the UK to the US in a whole year? What is the chance of your plane being one of those 10 or 11? Of course it's okay to be scared, but you're more likely to be in a car accident in your own country.

I hope that helps alleviate your anxiety a little.

I would've always said no before, growing up in belfast the everyday life of death and destruction made things like this second nature.

Now, now I am scared, and annoyed.

I have never tired to kill off Islam, I have had nothing nut tolerance for them and their beliefs as I have ith other religions.
Why do I have to worry that some bastard will kill me , my wife and my baby just for getting on a plane.

I never wanted war with Iraq, I was always vocal about US and UK foreign policy that wasn't ethical.
But why me, what have I done?

One Statistic will bring relief though, it was quoted by Jeremy Clarkson of all people.
In the last three decades you are more likely to die because of your trousers than from flying from the UK

You should be less worried with all the extra security checks that are coming in. Also there are hundreds of flights going to America from the UK daily, so the chances of the flight that you'll be on being targeted is not very high at all!!

It should not put you off flying. The chance of anything happening to you would be very slim. Like crossing the road and getting knocked down would be. Just enjoy the holiday

I have never flown in the 29 years I have been alive, so it is not just the recent years of terrorism that scares me..
If I was meant to fly, I would of been born with wings...

If you are normally comfortable flying, go ahead..take your trip..there is a 50/50 chance of living or dying in almost every activity we partake in on a daily basis..

Its just not for me..

There is more chance of you being hit by a bus on the M1 than being caught up in all the histeria of dickheads trying to blow you off the face of the Earth!!

No. But I would be worried about being in America.

I think it is going to go nuts there soon. Massive attacks (although I think US will be secretly involved) and then martial law.

I know it is almost unthinkable but look how the world is now.

USA is going BARMY!

I dont think you should worry. I think the threats are always going to be there and worrying is only going to make you paranoid then you will not be able to go anywhere.

Buses, trains, planes. you will eventually confine yourself to your house.

Go to America and enjoy yourself.

i would try not to worry too much about it! If we all stop doing what we want to do, like getting on planes and travelling that means the terrorist's have won! So carry on as usual i would say! BUSINESS AS USUAL
