Symantec actually publish an Uninstall tool on there web page. It really gets into every nook and crany of yoiur computer.
I found that new versions often fell over, unless every trace of previous versions were removed, and the onboard Uninstall does not always do it.

click on the mycomputer icon go in to program files and right click the symantec folder then click delete then click on start /all programs look for it there right click delete then click on start/ run type in the box
msconfig
click ok then click on the startup tab look for symantec
untick the box also click on services if its there untick the box
click apply & ok
then your need to restart your pc
when your back at the desktop a system box will load just tick the box down show this again
and
click
ok then your done end of the crap symantec
with a click

go on your commence button (decrease left in window) and proper click it. Press hit upon, you receives a itemizing of each and every report on the laptop. seem for the only you want to kill below your complicated force/application files, or now and again issues get stuck proper onto the complicated force. proper click its folder and delete from there. Double clicking between the folder thingies shows its subfolders and icons. Clicking the little plus signal shows the subfolders too.

if its a packard bell computer.. you download a thing from the p'bell website to remove it.. if not, just do a search in "c" and find any symantec files and delete them

see start menu -> all programs -> search this folder -> it will contain uninstall shield wizard.....click on it and uninstall it ....or it may happen that u have not installed this software ...ot it comes in the form of exe file....then you can directly remove it from your computer just make shift+delete..

go to programs, click on symantec, go to delete program or other option. if it's not in your add/remove programs it may have not been installed correctly.....you may have to install it again fully and correctly... good luck

Use some system doctor software or system remover software.
