You know when you look and you wonder if your version of the colour yellow is the same as your mates?!?

yes. I did.

I also wondered if there were aliens controlling the planet and if nothing was really real. I thought maybe the only things that were real were the things that one interracted with.. the stuff you saw and touched. Otherwise the aliens could make everything else hollograms to save energy.

My friends were still wondering those same kind of questions you asked in highschool in science class. To some extent it may be true because we will never know for sure how another person perceives and experiences life, but I think that science proves that the way things are in the natural world (structures etc) are pretty universal. So I think we can safely say that yellow is yellow except for the colour-blind whom we know cannot distinguish properly between different colours.

Ah, these are just my thoughts... nothing technical but still an interesting discussion. Thanks for asking the question.

No, I always thought what I saw is what also other people saw. But this is quite a problem along the way because of what I understood must be also understood by others, which is against the law of individual difference. The fact that everyone is different can presuppose that what we see are not what others see, though reality or the truth is always there. There are three sides of truth: those are: YOUR version, MY version, and the TRUTH. I hope you know what that means.

I used to turn round quickly to see if everything and everybody is still there – as animated and real as I saw just second ago. You see, somehow I got myself into a belief, or disbelief, that world is like gigantic toyshop or an art gallery - I did not know this word then - where things get animated and interactive as one sees around or moves around. Then I remember, I had crayons, and water paints that I was really fond of. I just loved the mixing pleasant green, blue, orange, red, violet and white during long summer days.

Those colours are still with me, and the colours in the simplistic pictures in the pages of my earlier schoolbooks. Thanks!

no definate answer, as your knowledge is in ure mind, and that is fed by your senses, if the input is biased...... how would anyone know.

but

when you look at people, you might notice, that they all have 2 hands, 1 head, 2 eyes, 1 nose..
u see where im going right. and its the same with other creatures..

we are all the same, see things the same, feel things the same, small things the same, unless part of our body or mind is broken.

the only think left is to difine broken:) - then figure out how many ppl ahve broken eyes.. back to the begining again..

No, I was quite convinced that what I saw and knew about the world differed dramatically from what the others saw and 'knew'. I would always keep my views on the subject in secret so as to not arouse unnecessary bewilderment, misunderstanding or insult people's feelings.
Now I've greatly modified my opinion - indeed, people always differ in their perceptions of the world surrounding them, yet those differences may not be as 'dramatic' as I used to think :)

Yap. And I still get the similar feeling nowadays. I believe people explain the world differently. Everyone is part of the world, not a single soul is "extra." The world seems even bigger by learning how other people's views of the world.

yeah, i still do. not just colours, everyones perceptions are different. Its kinda scary when you really start to look into how flawed our senses are...whats amazing is that we'er still able to work together, share ideas, communicate. though that doesnt always go so well

I used to wonder. Now I know that things are definitely different... depending on the point of view.

Oh yes. All the time. What really bugged the hell out of me was trying to figure out why the specific perspective was mine, why I was me instead of anyone else.
