There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Love doesn't really ignore faults. You still see them, but you're willing to work them out together. You accept them for who they are...love does not blame.
Love isn't always happy, because you're not "in it" just so that you can feel good. Love is when you care for them, even if things aren't alright. There is no such thing as things being perfect all the time. You just remember what's good about them, and it conquers any obstacle that may come up.
Love isn't a feeling. That would be romantic love...and with romantic love, feelings come and go. That's why you usually think about those "high" feelings you had when you first started dating. True love does not fail.
Love puts the other person first. Not because you "have to"; but because you want to. Of course ppl will get selfish at time, but love still prevails in the end.
Love is a willingness. Not slavery. It's a devotion to the person you care about.

To me love is a deep, passionate connection between a man and a woman. They are truly devoted to one another and do not wish to see other ppl on the side. They bring forth their true selves so that they no longer have to lie about or hide who they are. I feel as well that it is the only emotional connection a person can feel for many ppl at one time, rather it is your own family, husband and friends. But the love between a husband and wife or anyone in a commited relationship is what i mean by the deep passionate connection.

there are two ways of love...in love and just love. in love is during couples, when they see each other, they are happy, they do things together and they treat each other the best, better than any other person out there ( if they really r in love with each other that much ), but usually when couples say they are in love, a few years after they get married, in love changes to just care and concern for each other. but love can mean alot in different ways. u can love someone as a friend, love someone as a sibling etc. but this type of love doesn't concern marriage, sex or other things that only couples do.

love is something you feel toward someone or even to your pet. Something that stay and last forever. Feeling you have to someone that you care unconditionally.
