My computer was stolen and my website was with Freeola, How can I get my files back to change things around (EMAIL ADDRESS ETC) There was no backup as I had not gotten round to it?

Please advise in a 1-10 format and assume I know nothing.

You can get your settings back from Freola support if you don't have them already.

Create directory on your drive for your website
(ideally on the d: drive, just in case Windows eats the c: drive *blinks*)

Once you have the log-in setting, reconnect to the web server and drag and drop all the files and folders from (probably public_html) their to your prepared folder on your computer.

I prefer CuteFTP Pro myself, but SmartFTP is decent enough, fairly intuitive and it's free (link below).

Once you have it down remember to back it up to CD / DVD - and any other important files.

All website provider give you access to your website files using FTP or HTTP access. Check what Freeola provides. You can download all the files from there using a software such as CuteFTP. I hope you have not forgot your account name and password! :)
