My question is....If she is going to allow Lindsay to run around and drink and party all of the time, why, then, when she attempts to defend Lindsay does she continously refer to her as a child? For example "I don't know why Star Jones said those mean nasty things about my daughter. Why would someone say something to hurt A CHILD" I don't get it but maybe thats just me. Any input??

Dina wants to live the life she always wanted, and Lindsay can give her that...she doesn't care if Lindsay drinks and parties, she's right there beside her mingling with celebrities. Without Lindsay, she is a nobody, just like the rest of us. As to why she defends her...she's her mother AND her manager. Her job is to make Lindsay look good. The more movies and deals Lindsay can get, the more money they both have.

she's in a tricky situation because not only is she her mother but also her manager..plus, her mom probably has no control over her anyway and is in denial over all the things that she is doing
