yes,he's a dynamic leader and commands respect from everyone including his rivals.his skills have won england many a game and
captaincy will make him work harder to uphold the pride of england.

The two best choices, in my humble opinion, are terry and gerrard and i would imagine that the arguments will go on until the cows come home and there will still be no clear answer. but my personal pick would be john terry over gerrard because i think the personality that terry is reminiscent of terry butcher in his captaincy.

Yes, I think Terry is the right choice for England captain. He's a great player, has a lot of experience and he's a done an awesome job as captain of Chelsea!

i think becks was better than JT or StevieG ,
But Now , JT Would Be Better As HE HAs Got The Leadership Skills And It Can Be Seen As Chelsea Has Won Two Consecutive Titles , What Has Gerrard Done , Nothing
I Think Terry Is The Better Choice

I personally feel that Gerrard would really lift the team better than Terry, but Gerrard is still vice-captain.

No....I dont think Terry is going to deliver as a good captain . Ofcourse he is one of the best defender in the world football now, but he is not matured or experienced to lead the team which is loaded with too much hype and expectation.
I think Steven Gerrad can be the right candidate to lead as he has already shown his leadership quality by leading Liverpool to make champion of Europe .
Not Roney...as he is short tempered and frontline striker
Not Lampard ...as too much expectation on him in the midfield
Not Owen....as he is burden with too much injury probs
Not Crouch.....let him prove as a player first

John Terry may be a good captain in club level. But internationally,he's just one of the centre back player.Do you think that agood player will be a good captain. I would suggest Frank Lampard cause he's the energetic type of player and his creative play would motivate the rest of the team players.

I don't think so. David Beckham- The Lord is the best for the skipper's place. But he being out of the way, I would be pretty happy if Gerhard is given the captaincy.

well there are so many good players on the english team that it's hard to choose, i think john terry would do a good job, lampard would do a good job, gerrard would do a good job too, maybe even campbell, or even crouch.
