Seattle is awesome!
People are friendly and laid back.
Life isn't so fast paced as in New York.

People here are into the arts and music.
Of course, let's not forget Microsoft, Starbucks and Amazon,
big companies that are based here.

Weather is fine. It doesn't get too cold and doesn't get too warm. We get all of the seasons. Winter Spring Summer and Fall.
It doesn't rain as much as they say.. Maybe in Fall/Winter.. so we have slush.. hehe!

There are a lot of places you can go here. We have pretty mountains with lush greenery.. we have hills and lakes!

I lived here almost two years and, even though I miss my home country so bad, Seattle is definitely a second home to me.

Very liberal, politically. Very green for an urban area. Lots of mountains, water, and trees. People are generally friendly, but mostly keep to themselves. People are very into health...both eating nutritionally and organically, as well as keeping in good shape through exercise...lots of joggers and bikers here. In fact, Seattle was named "America's Healthiest City" not long ago. Seattle is also known as one of the "smartest" cities in America, because most are well-educated and intelligent. Coffee is a big part of our culture, not just because of Starbucks...there are independently owned and operated coffee shops all over the place. Movies I would suggest renting to get a feel for Seattle would be:

Mad Love
The Ring &
Fear

Seattle is a vibrant city with a mix of many Asian and other nationalities which makes it a culturally diverse city.
There are many music artists from here from Jimi Hendrix, Heart, Kurt Cobain and grunge.
Many young professionals with computer skills are employed at the cellular telephone companies, Microsoft and Boeing.
You can get all of the statistical facts of this city but you need to get an on-line friend that can tell you the answers from a younger person's viewpoint.

Try this site and connect with someone that can fill you in between the lines.
