Sometimes the gelatinous material inside the eye becomes detatched from the eyeball and will cause flashes that seem like car headlights flashing. I don't know if that's her problem though. Mom should see an opthamologist to determine that, hopefully, it's nothing serious.

It may be something going on but not nedessarily. When I close my eyes I see little blue light. The eye Dr. says nothing was wrong with my eyes but I have to go back teice a year to get my eyes checked to make sure nothing has devoloped. I would suggest that she see an oncologist but I have been like this for years and I am still fine and do not need glasses or contacts.

She is fine. if you look at light ten close your eyes you still see the shape and the color of the bulb and the light. That is normal. If you think of a color you can see it. That is what i do when I sleep, It is like a light show in my head.

High blood pressure can cause that. It used to happen to my mum as high blood pressure is hereditary in our family, except me, I have low blood pressure.

Anyway, high blood pressure.

you might want to get your moms retina checked. jus to be sure its not retinal detachment. its better to be safe then to delay it and further become blind.
