I HAD 6600 NOKIA.DURING RAIN ,I WAS COUGHT IN THE HEAVY RAIN.MY CELLPHONE WAS IN THE LEATHER POUCH.THE POUCH WAS HOOKED TO MY PANT BELT.WHEN I GOT DRENCHED FULLY WITH RAIN,CELLPHONE TOO GOT IN RAIN WATER AND STOPPED WORKING.FINALLY,NEVER WORKED AGAIN.

You can protect your mobile from rains by putting it in a Zipper pouch. No matter how much it rains your cell wont get wet and you can attend calls also while your cell is in the zipper pouch.

I live in Rhode Island and it's been called the safest state when it comes to natural disasters! We can get hurricanes but we haven't had a real hurricane in years. By the time they make it to southern New England, they have been downgraded to a tropical storm (knock on wood). So we get some wind and rain with minimal flooding. Then everyone goes back to their normal lives. I do admit that we're not as prepared as we should be in case a major hurricane makes it here. I think I'll make that my next project. Figure out what we need to have ready and put it together, just in case. I agree that Jennifer made Arizona sound pretty good! My boyfriend has always wanted to live there someday. 1. Apply grease everywhere on the phone. Apply a second time. I am sure no god dam water drop can get through. (How you store and use your mobile after this is another question which you have not asked).
2. Avoid rain, go to a place where it does not rain say Ethiopia.
3. Buy a underwater model (like underwater camera) - wait for Nokia to come up with a model.

Hey buddy! I also hv the same cell.I undrstand ur problem.There's no solution for this except that u keep a plastic box wid u so that u can keep ur cell in it in odd times lik whn u r caught in heavy rain.Otherwise there is no other solution coz if u laminate ur cell then also they cut it out from the point of charging.
Hey! i jus got a new solution,buy a plastic mobile cover which is fully closed lik the zip lock bag.It can help u. U cn get it from a shop which deals in mobile covres n hand bags etc. or u can evn get it stitched.Jus take ur old raincoat to ur tailor n tell him to do the job. N m really very serious 'bout it.I got these ideas while writing the answer to ur question.
