I really want to believe that Snape is good, I cant imagine the DD trusted him so deeply for so long for it all to blow it in his face. What do you think?

I'm really on the fence about certain things, but I believe he is dead. Rowling left so many questions. But, I really that that when Dumbledore implored Snape, "Please Severus," I think he was giving him permission. He knew that his work was done there and it was a way of forgiving Snape for what he was about to do. They need someone there to infiltrate the dark powers, but I also admit this could be wishful thinking. Only one thing is for sure... she certainly has a way of keeping us all on pins and needles. I love it!

Dumbledore is really dead because J.K. Rowling said so. Sorry to all you fans of DumbledoreIsNotDead.com, but this is what she said at Radio City Music Hall this past week:

"But I see that I need to be a little more explicit and say that Dumbledore is definitely dead. (Crowd gasps) And I do know - I do know that there is an entire website out there that says - that's name is DumbledoreIsNotDead.com so umm, I'd imagine they're not pretty happy right now. (Crowd laughs) But I think I need - you need - all of you need to move through the five stages of grief (crowd laughs) and I'm just helping you get past denial."

So there you have it. Also, I think that Snape is good and the reason Dumbledore trusted him so much was because Snape loved Lily. That might explain his strange behavior towards Harry, somteimes being horrible to him, as well as taking actions to protect him. Harry is a living reminder of James getting Lily, but is also Lily's son. I'm not sure if I am right about any of this, but it's just an idea.

Listen, do you really want to hear something cool? Dumbledore is dead alright. But I personally think that in the last book, Snape is really gonna appear at the last moment and zap Lord Voldemort along with Harry. You know, for atoning the things he's done to Harry. What do you think, possible or not?

I've wondered the same thing. What did Dumbledore really mean when he said "please" to Snape before he was killed? Could he sense Snape was reluctant to do it? I hate to admit it, but I think he's dead. I read somewhere that J.K.Rowling said she felt Harry should go on alone in the seventh book. I just can't imagine how Snape can redeem himself now. What a shame...I was convinced he was a reformed death-eater.

Yes... Dumbledore is dead...

I believe that Snape is good...

And I believe in the last book... Snape will sacifice his life to save Harry... Before Lord Voldmort could kill Harry... And Ginny was hurt again by Lord Voldmort...

Dumbledore's really dead but its really sad that he trusted Snape and it backfired. Hopefully there is a good reason!

There's no doubt he's dead... since JKR made sure everyone knew that during the recent NYC interview... and since the author is not keen to revive him, he's most certainly dead.

I wanted to believe Snape would redeem himself too... so maybe DD was asking him to fulfill his unbreakable vow to Narcissa??

I think that he is dead, but he trusted Snape to do whatever is necessary to protect Harry, even if it meant killing him.
